Art on the Street

I had applied as an Artist to Collingwoods Art on the Street 2018 - Celebrating 8 years of art and artists in Collingwood. The theme was ‘Collingwood’s Historic Downtown through the Decades’ honoring Collingwood’s 160th Anniversary. Highlighting the buildings, past businesses, people and celebrations that enriched the downtown. After informing my peers at Smash Reality Inc. that I was accepted as an Artist, the idea was sprung in the team to add beacon technology to the chairs and create a site with a map of all the chairs and artist info for the beacons to connect to. This allowed for people passing by on the street, to recieve a notification on their phone and get information about the artists while visiting the chairs and to find the chair around the town using the map.
